CPV (Consular, passport and visa services including eVisa)


Acceptable channel for applying for visas depends upon the nationality of the applicant and the type of visa and is as described below; all may kindly strictly follow the channels indicted below to avoid inconvenience:

X-Misc visa for Tabligh Work


1.       Those desirous of visiting India for Tabligh work need to apply for special X-Misc visa from the Embassy by providing full details.

2.       Please note that this now requires explicit clearance from India and thus more time.

3.       All visits to the Embassy would be strictly based on explicit appointment relayed via cons.dakar@mea.gov.in . Applicants would have to come at the exact time indicated in the appointment.

4.       Walk-in applicants would thus not be entertained.

eVisa (=online visa)


5.       The evisa is applied online through internet, paid through internet and it is received on applicant's email.  eVisa processing takes three working days and all must apply in time

6.       Those unable to apply for eVisa and thus in need of paper visa (ie. visa issued by the Embassy and affixed on the passport), may first email their self-contained request to cons.dakar@mea.gov.in and to amb.dakar@mea.gov.in to enable Embassy process the request and respond. All details including visa application form as are given at: www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/

7.       Tourist visa, both eVisa and paper visa, is currently suspended due to Covid-19.

(B) Visa applicants from nationals of above countries must therefore first contact Embassy at cons.dakar@mea.gov.in to ascertain the exact fee as applicable to them before depositing visa fee.

(D) Barring above exceptions, visa fee for other nationals as also in respect of nationals of Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau and Cabo Verde may be seen at https://asp.embassyofindiadakar.gov.in/eoia4/aCpvServChart_list2.asp

(E) Any excess fee (towards any service e.g. consular, passport, visa, postal fee, ICWF etc) once deposited in Embassy of India Dakar's account cannot be returned as per the rules of Consolidated Fund of India.
