Repatriation of 140 Indian Nationals under Government of India's Vande Bharat Mission

A Special Flight from Dakar, Senegal, took off at 8 pm today, June 19, 2020, carrying 140 Indians stranded in Senegal and The Gambia.

The passengers were provided with face masks, face shields, hand sanitizers etc as part of our endeavour to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The exercise would not have been possible but for the close cooperation between large number of government entities. We particularly express our gratitude to the Governments of the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of The Gambia, who provided invaluable and prompt assistance at all times, and the authorities of the Blaise Diagne International Airport for facilitating the repatriation flight.
