International Day of Yoga 2021
would be celebrated in Dakar on Saturday, 26 June 2021 as per details below:
Program timeline would be:
0715 –0830 hrs. Screening of selected videos
0830 – 0920 hrs. Address / remarks/ yoga demonstration/ cultural program:
-Yoga demonstration by children (10 minutes)
-yoga demonstration by two yoga professors (10 minutes)
-Mr Biram Mbarou DIOUF, CEO of Africa Renaissance Monument (5 minutes)
-Mr. Yeyha Hassan, President of the National Yoga Association of Senegal (5 minutes)
-GV Dhruv Aryan - song (2 minutes)
-(anyone from the participants volunteering a song / dance - max 2 minutes, in the interest of time)
-Mr Ismaela Lo, famous Senegalese popular singer (5 minutes)
-Mr Paul Dione, Chief Guest, General Secretary, Senegalese Ministry of Sports
-Ambassador G V Srinivas
0920 – 1000 hrs: Common Yoga Protocol 2021
1000-1030 hrs: Distribution of light snack, at the mats. All requested to stay seated on their mats.

To extend the celebrations to all the Yoga enthusiasts living in far-away cities and our concurrent accreditation countries (Cabo Verde, The Gambia and Cabo Verde), the program, both on 20 June and on 26 June, would be streamed on FacebookLive (@IndiaInSenegal)
-It is important that one approaches Yoga in an informed manner. Though very effective and life changing, and helpful in holistic living, Yoga also have set of rules and guidelines that must be followed.

-There would be no change-over facility at the venue. Please thus come to the venue directly and comfortably dressed, preferably wearing white T-shirt.
